#LincsBlogMeet - Are you in?

When you're a blogger, going to a Blog Meet can be quite a big thing. Sometimes you really want to go, but never seem to have the opportunity. Other times the opportunity presents itself, but you're not sure you're brave enough to actually go. And then, if you do go... what should you expect? And then, once you've attended one, do you get the bug to go to MORE!?!

Introducing #LincsBlogMeet!!

My best friend Amy (from Cocktails in Teacups) and I are organising a Blog Meet, located specifically in Lincoln. We are hoping to host the Blog Meet one Saturday in June, but this post is part of preliminary plans to arrange the meet.

The Blog Meet itself is open to anyone and everyone, so long as you're a Blogger! We welcome fbloggers, bbloggers, lbloggers, pbloggers etc.etc. And though we may refer to the meet as a Midlands blog meet, this is only because that's where its located, not because only people from the Midlands can come. No matter where you live, if you can travel to us, you're welcome to come!

Why Lincoln?

Lincoln is such an underrated city. It is the capital of its namesake county - Lincolnshire. It boasts a beautiful cathedral and castle, along with many other Roman settlement remains. Modern Lincoln is just as nice, with two popular Universities, an attractive Brayford Wharf marina and even a football stadium belonging to Lincoln F.C. Whether you're climbing Steep Hill, or shopping on High Street - Lincoln is definitely a city you should have visited!

Lincoln holds a very special place in both mine and Amy's hearts and we both think its important to hold our Blog Meet here. Lincoln is easy to get to, with plenty of trains and buses running there, so even if you're relying on public transport, you shouldn't have any problem getting to us!

When in June?

At the moment we're leaving this open, to see what works for the people who would like to attend. The day will definitely be a Saturday though, so June 7th, 14th, 21st or 28th! When you contact us, please don't forget to let us know which dates work best for you!

What will happen at the Blog Meet?

We don't want to give too much away right now, but we already have some plans! What we will tell you is that the blog meet will take place over lunch - we're thinking 10am till 2pm or perhaps 11am till 3pm. Our Blog Meet will be all about meeting new bloggers and so the focus will be on getting to know each other. We are hoping to have one activity that will require a little bit of getting to know Lincoln itself too. The Blog Meet will also include eating lunch together, lots of prize giveaways and also a goody bag to take home with you! What more could you ask for?

I'm interested! What now?

As I said before, we're still at the very early stages of planning. That said we have at least 6 people who we already know are interested in coming. We're not looking to get too big, so its definitely a good idea to get your dibs in now!
