My AWESOME new wall mural - Marvel Comics!*

This week, I totally geeked out - even by my own standards (which trust me, it takes a lot for me to say that). Ever since we've lived in this current house (almost a year and a half now) Chris and I have never really put a personal touch on the bedroom. However all that changed on Sunday when we put up our new wall mural from 1Wall.

1Wall have a HUGE choice of Wall Murals (and other products) and when it came to picking one, I have to admit I really struggled. However in the end, Chris and I decided on a landscape Marvel Characters mural, priced at £29.99* It's absolutely massive - sized at 2.32m x 1.58m - and comes in two very large strips. I was really excited when it arrived and in all honesty I feel the same way, every time I walk in our bedroom now!

Arriving in this large cardboard tube, the mural itself came safely packed inside another box too. Along with that, we got a packet of wallpaper paste - though I'll admit we put up our mural with blu tac in the end (only because we intend to move house and want to make sure the mural can come with us!).

It took both Chris and I to put up the mural - it basically comes as two long wallpaper strips. Matching up the overlap was a little tricky, but as I said, there is an actual overlap so that makes it look much neater once you're finished. It didn't take us very long though and the finished effect is really just amazing.

As you can see from the pictures, you can't even see where the two pieces join/overlap. It's really a seemless finish. I was so pleased with the result that I posted the pictures on Facebook and I received loads of compliments to it! The geek in me wasn't happy to just leave it at that however, the next day I headed to Ebay. Although they haven't arrived yet, I've actually purchased us some of these...

I can't wait to get them and put them on the bed! It will definitely make me more inclined to be in the bedroom for more than just sleep...

That said, I really need to replace the pink curtains too!!

  1. I want that duvet cover, I just wish Tom was more into Marvel so he would agree to them!
