Kate's Cakes*
A couple of weeks ago, I got one of the best parcels I have ever received - cakes! I was so excited when it was delivered and I couldn't wait to get it open and get tasting. Nat was here for the day and so it was extra exciting as we quickly proceeded to have a sort of tea party!
The delivery of cakes was on behalf of a company called Kate's Cakes. I received a box of Chocolate Fudge cakes, a box of Lemon Drizzle cakes, two black mugs, some teabags and a cake stand.
Nat was on a chocolate ban for October (Stoptober) so she just tried the Lemon Drizzle cake, but I tried them both. I have to admit the Lemon ones were my favourite but Amy (who I heard got the cakes too!) preferred the chocolate ones. Nat and I made ourselves a cup of tea with the mugs and the teabags, then settle down to a cake (or two for me). It was all really nice!
The cakes come in boxes of 5 and each cake is wrapped individually. You can get Chocolate Fudge, Lemon Drizzle and Millionaire Shortbread. They retail at £1.99* for a box and you can buy them in Tesco. Though I'd never heard of Kate's Cakes, looking at their website I realised they do far more than just these cake squares. As well as these cakes, they also do cake slices, cake wedges, whole round cakes, cake bars, tray bakes, muffins, cookies and shortbread. I'm definitely interested to try some more as these particular cakes lasted less than a day in my household!
These look amazing.
